Safeguarding

St Laurence’s Church seeks to put the care and protection of children, young people and adults at the heart of everything we do.

The Diocese of Coventry are currently undertaking a Past Cases Review across all Parishes of how past allegations of abuse against members of the clergy or church officers were responded to.

If you are aware of any past allegations that may or may not have been investigated fully within the life of St Laurence’s Church, please contact office@stlaurences.org or phone Laura Edmunds in confidence on 02476 667460 by the 28th November 2019.

All of our staff and volunteers who work with children or vulnerable adults undergo an extensive safer recruitment process including DBS checks, references, confidential declaration and face-to-face interview, regular training and line management.  You can read more about the Diocese of Coventry’s polices and approach to Safeguarding here.
